Data Acquisition Knowledge Base

Supraharmonics, high-frequency disturbances between 2 kHz and 150 kHz, are an emerging power quality challenge in modern grids driven by widespread use of power electronic devices such as EV chargers and inverters. Unlike traditional harmonics, they are non-synchronous and harder to measure, yet can cause significant voltage distortion, equipment stress, and system instability. Addressing them requires advanced measurement tools, deeper analysis, and new standards.

Case Studies

AI-driven data transformation improves EV battery management by turning complex measurement data into accurate predictive models. Using Dewesoft’s high-precision data acquisition and ETAS’s modeling tools, the integrated toolchain enhances State of Charge estimation and range prediction. This reduces range anxiety, enables real-time decision-making, and supports more reliable, efficient, and intelligent electric vehicle systems.

Case Studies

A dynamic-response-based framework enables early detection of structural degradation in complex historic sites by combining continuous monitoring with BIM, GIS, and Digital Twins. Applications in Pozzuoli and Pompeii show how subtle performance changes can be tracked and translated into actionable indicators, supporting proactive risk management, maintenance planning, and informed decision-making under evolving hazard conditions.

Case Studies

E-Team Squadra Corse validated electrical and thermal models of a Formula SAE electric race car using high-precision Dewesoft measurements during endurance testing. The results showed high accuracy, with battery voltage error below 2% and motor temperature within 5°C, enabling reliable real-time models for predictive power and thermal management and improved race performance.

Case Studies

Faraday Rocketry UPV improved rocket motor testing using a Dewesoft DAQ system, enabling precise thrust and temperature measurements under extreme conditions. The new setup simplified data collection, reduced noise, and enabled real-time analysis. It helped identify ignition issues and cut ignition time from seconds to 72 ms, improving performance and reliability.

Case Studies

ESO is deploying a permanent vibration monitoring system for the Extremely Large Telescope using low-noise Dewesoft IOLITE MEMS accelerometers and DewesoftX software. Early phase-one data already shows how wind, construction activity, and earthquakes affect the telescope and dome, helping engineers verify performance, track trends, and protect optical stability.

Case Studies

Synchronized, multi-band magnetic field measurements in electric vehicles transform electromagnetic emissions from compliance data into a valuable diagnostic tool. By capturing repeatable magnetic signatures during real driving, engineers can identify subsystem behavior, detect gear shifts, and reveal early faults or tampering, all without access to internal signals, enabling predictive maintenance and improved system observability.

Case Studies

A battery-free wireless telemetry system enables direct, real-time measurement of bearing temperature inside high-performance electric powertrains. Applied to Ferrari’s MGU-K, it captures previously inaccessible thermal data on rotating components, revealing early signs of friction and degradation. Integrated with DewesoftX, it supports predictive maintenance, improved reliability, and performance optimization under real operating conditions.

Case Studies

Eu-BEST is building a shared, modular rocket test infrastructure to replace Europe’s costly, launcher-specific facilities. Focused on the ground segment, where nearly all lifecycle cost and risk sit, it offers standardized benches, universal interfaces, real-time control, and digital twins to speed testing, cut duplication, and support up to 200 tests per year, making access easier for emerging space companies.

Case Studies

DARTS-PL is building an open, high-resolution dataset for autonomous vehicle perception in Poland, using synchronized cameras, lidars, radars, GNSS/IMU, and thermal imaging in DewesoftX. By capturing real roads, seasons, weather, and edge cases, it helps reduce geographic bias in AV training and supports safer, more reliable testing for Central and Eastern Europe.

Case Studies

A 135 MW Francis turbine developed recurring runner crown cracks after decades of operation, culminating in catastrophic failure. Monitoring revealed a persistent 140 Hz vibration linked to rotor–stator interaction. Modal analysis showed this excitation matched a natural frequency of the runner–shaft system, confirming resonance as the main cause of crack initiation and growth.
