IOLITE® X data acquisition devices are low-cost yet powerful measurement solution that offer quick and easy installation for industrial applications.

Simple connection

Connecting IOLITE X devices is very easy and straightforward, thanks to the gigabit ethernet interface that supports PTPv2 synchronization and active Power Over Ethernet (PoE). A single, affordable ethernet cable is all that's needed for data transfer, power supply, and synchronization.

High sampling rate

IOLITE X signal amplifiers provide fast data collection, with speeds reaching up to 200 samples per second for each channel. Additionally, the sampling rate can be adjusted for each input channel through software settings.

160 dB dynamic range

The amplifiers are equipped with a 24-bit Delta-sigma ADC and an anti-aliasing filter for every analog input channel. This setup allows for a dynamic range of up to 160 dB, ensuring high-quality signal processing.

Versatile inputs

A wide variety of amplifiers are available, suitable for measuring voltage, strain (all types of bridge connections), and IEPE signals. These amplifiers also support TEDS for easy sensor identification and come with programmable sensor excitation, enhancing versatility and ease of use.

PTPv2 synchronization

Devices are synchronized using the Precision Time Protocol (PTPv2) over Ethernet, ensuring highly accurate data synchronization in your measurements.

Active PoE

You can easily link and power multiple devices in a chain. Each device supports active Power over Ethernet (PoE++ power delivery), includes an extra power out connector, and has a built-in power injector to prevent voltage drops, ensuring a reliable power supply throughout the chain.

Sensor excitation

You can power all your sensors directly from the signal amplifiers, which offer a programmable power supply for each channel. This allows for independent control of the power needed to activate each sensor.

Every Dewesoft data acquisition system is bundled with award-winning DewesoftX data acquisition software. The software is easy to use but very rich and deep in functionality. All software updates are free forever with no hidden licensing or yearly maintenance fees.

IOLITE X device overview

On the image you can see general view of the IOLITE X device:

  • Rugged aluminum chassis with fanless design

  • DIN-rail compatible mount

  • Two Gigabit Ethernet ports with RJ45 connectors for power, data, and syncronization. Both ports support PTPv2 syncronization protocol and active PoE (Power Over Ethernet).

  • Additional power IN/OUt ports with power injector for scenarios where you need to inject external power supply.

  • SD-card memory slot for on-board storing data in data logger mode.

High-end signal conditioning

IOLITE® X devices offer exceptional signal conditioning capabilities, accommodating various input and output modules. These modules are capable of measuring a diverse range of signals, including:

Multi-channel amplifier cards offer data in 24-bit resolution, are alias-free, and have a high dynamic range and low SNR. Sampling rates are software selectable per each input channel and offer acquisition speeds up to 200 kS/s.

IOLITE® X amplifier modules

Currently, the available models include amplifiers for voltage signals with the possibility of sensor excitation support, resistance, and strain gauge signals in different bridge configurations, as well as IEPE for sound and vibration measurement. Multiple devices can be easily daisy-chained in the same measurement chain, interconnected with an Ethernet CAT6 cable.

Perfect for industrial and production applications with DIN-rail fitting

The IOLITE X modules are designed with compatibility and ease of installation in mind, fitting perfectly onto standard industrial DIN rails. This compatibility makes them ideal for integration into industrial cabinets, where they can be mounted alongside PLCs and similar devices with ease. The IOLITE X chassis features a simple clip-in mechanism, ensuring secure mounting to all standard industrial DIN rail mounts without hassle.

Connection of these modules is straightforward, thanks to the use of RJ45 connectors. This choice allows for easy linking of modules while also keeping costs down by utilizing standard, affordable Ethernet cables.

Despite its cost-effective design, the IOLITE X series does not cut corners on signal conditioning quality. All signal amplifiers within the series are engineered to provide top-tier signal conditioning, boasting a 24-bit resolution and a high sampling rate of up to 200,000 samples per second. This combination of affordability, ease of installation, and high-quality performance makes the IOLITE X series a smart choice for a wide range of industrial applications.

Small in size, rugged by design

The IOLITE X chassis is crafted from aluminum, making it both lightweight and compact. Its dimensions are slightly over 135 x 115 x 35 cm (approximately 53 x 45 x 13.7 inches), allowing it to fit perfectly in installation cabinets that are mounted on standard DIN rails or virtually any other space.

The chassis is designed without fans, making it ideal for harsh, dusty industrial settings. It offers reliable performance in challenging environments.

On-board SD card storage

IOLITE X devices are equipped with an ARM processor running Linux OS. They are powered by our newly embedded DewesoftRT software, which can enable real-time operation and logging of the data on the device directly.

That is why IOLITE X devices come with an SD card slot that allows for onboard data storage, supporting SD cards up to 2TB. This feature enables the devices to store raw data directly on the device for future analysis, effectively turning the IOLITE X into a standalone data logger that operates independently of any external PC connection.

Later this year, an update to the embedded DewesoftRT software and firmware will further enhance this functionality. This update will introduce new capabilities such as an online math module, triggering, storing, and real-time outputs, expanding the functionality and versatility of the IOLITE X devices.

Note: This feature has yet to be made available. It will be coming to your device with the firmware upgrade later this year.

The new X-line data acquisition systems from Dewesoft fully support openDAQ, an open-source data acquisition SDK (Software Development Kit) that adheres to industry standards.
