Dewesoft Summer Camp is an annual hands-on learning event where students and young engineers work with Dewesoft measurement and data acquisition tools in real projects. Participants attend workshops, solve real engineering challenges, and collaborate with peers and experts to deepen practical skills in instrumentation and data analysis.

The Dewesoft Summer Camp application process is simple and selective. Start by pre-registering with a short form to express your interest. Selected candidates are then invited to submit a brief motivation video or essay. Final participants are chosen based on the published selection criteria and receive an official invitation to confirm their place for an intensive, hands-on week in Slovenia.

What is the Dewesoft Summer Camp?
It’s a 5-day international engineering camp where students learn data acquisition (DAQ), practice hands-on measurements, build real projects, and compete in engineering, business, and marketing challenges. You get mentorship, teamwork experience, and exposure to real-world engineering.
Who can apply?
Students enrolled in Bachelor, Master, or Doctoral STEM programs, especially (but not only!):
- Electrical engineering
- Mechanical engineering
- Computer engineering
- Mechatronics
- Aerospace
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Other STEM engineering fields
Where does the Summer Camp take place?
At Dewesoft headquarters, Slovenia. Accommodation is provided at Rimske Terme SPA Pool Hotel.

What are the requirements to apply?
- Complete at least 10 ONLINE PRO Training sessions before the event. Completing them earns you a free Dewesoft-star T-shirt.
- Prepare a short paper - case study/application note using Dewesoft equipment by performing measurements.
Should I focus on any specific PRO training topics?
Choose topics that interest you and complete the associated quiz. Use one email address for all quizzes to be eligible for the PRO Training T-shirt.
How do I enter the selection?
Submit a Case Study or Application Note to: summer.camp@dewesoft.com
- CC your professor and local Dewesoft mentor.
- If you don’t have a mentor, the event team will connect you with the nearest Dewesoft branch.
What kind of document should I prepare?
You should prepare either a Case Study or an Application Note using Dewesoft equipment.
Can I use other equipment or software?
No, the main goal is to produce content that showcases Dewesoft technology. Using Dewesoft equipment is required.
What are the deadlines?

Can I submit more than one paper?
No. Each applicant can submit one paper only.
Can I submit a paper as a team?
Yes, teamwork is allowed. Conditions regarding paper length, scope, and measurements may vary. Contact the event team for guidance at summer.camp@dewesoft.com.
Do I need to know DewesoftX basics?
Recommended. We will not cover DewesoftX basics during the event.
What if I am talented but not familiar with DewesoftX?
A “free pass” may be granted in special cases. This is exceptional.
Will my work be recognized?
Yes, published papers recognize students as content authors, giving students authorship credit and visibility on Dewesoft platforms (website, social media etc.). Students will also be asked to sign a GDPR consent form to allow Dewesoft to publish their work and personal data (name, affiliation, photos) in accordance with privacy regulations.
What if I discovered the event late or missed the deadline?
Late-bird submissions are considered case by case. Contact summer.camp@dewesoft.com to check eligibility.
What equipment should I use for my paper?
This will be determined by your local Dewesoft mentor depending on the measurement challenge you want to tackle.
What if I need support with the paper content?
Our copywriting team will reach out to you with guidelines and suggestions and make sure your paper is suitable for publication.
Are there limited seats for the Summer Camp?
Yes. To ensure diversity and a high-quality experience, there are a limited number of seats per country.
How are participants selected?
Selection is based on:
- Quality and originality of the submitted Case Study or App Note
- Completion of online PRO Training sessions
- STEM background and motivation
- Teamwork potential (if applying as a group)
In cases where applications exceed the available country-specific seats, the most promising candidates are chosen by additional interviews. Late or exceptional applications may also be considered.
What happens if my country’s seats are full?
You can still submit your paper. If your application is exceptional, we may offer a special consideration or place you on a waiting list. Additionally, some countries may not reach their full quota, and those seats can be reallocated to applicants from other countries.
How do I confirm my participation after paper acceptance?
Once your paper is accepted, you must register and confirm attendance by 22.06.2026. You’ll receive a confirmation email with next steps, camp schedule, and accommodation details.
What is the role of local mentors?
Local mentors should guide and support their students throughout the application process and ensure that eligible students submit their papers on time. Mentors are also responsible for:
- Reviewing student submissions before sending, if needed
- Connecting students with Dewesoft HQ or local branches for equipment questions
- Coordinating with the event team for late or exceptional submissions
What information is needed for registration?
During registration, you will provide:
- Full name and contact details
- Any dietary restrictions or special needs
Can I make changes after registering?
Minor changes (e.g., dietary restrictions) can be accommodated if communicated promptly. Major changes or cancellations should be emailed to summer.camp@dewesoft.com
When will I receive my camp materials?
All training materials, schedules, and workshop instructions will be shared 1-2 weeks before arrival via email.

What costs are covered by Dewesoft?
Accommodation, food, training, workshop materials, and fun program are covered.
What costs are the participant’s responsibility?
Transportation to Slovenia and back home is the responsibility of the participant.
Are there any special travel arrangements?
No, participants arrange their own transportation. Dewesoft does not cover flights, trains, or local transfers to/from camp, but assistance with visa or local guidance can be requested via the camp team.
What should I bring to the Summer Camp?
Bring:
- Laptop for DAQ and project work
- Personal stationery (notebook, pens)
- Appropriate clothing for lab, workshops, and outdoor activities (swimming gear mandatory!)
- Passport or ID
Any personal items for accommodation and leisure and positive energy.
