High channel count

SIRIUS® XR systems support dense, high-channel-count DAQ configurations in a compact rack chassis. The XR9 enclosure can host up to 288 analog channels + 72 counter channels in a single chassis, while the XR5 supports up to 160 analog channels and 40 counter channels, making them ideal for large and scalable measurement setups.

Flexible signal amplifiers

SIRIUS® XR supports virtually any signal and sensor type with a wide range of input amplifiers for maximum measurement flexibility. Universal signal amplifiers are also available, combining multiple measurement modes in a single amplifier. Measure voltage, current, RTD, thermocouple, IEPE, charge, strain, counters, LVDT, and more, all within a single modular system tailored to your application.

High bandwidth

SIRIUS® XHS modules deliver high-bandwidth acquisition for fast and dynamic signals, with sampling rates up to 15 MS/s and bandwidth up to 5 MHz. HybridADC technology also enables alias-free measurements up to 2 MS/s, giving you the speed and fidelity needed for demanding test applications.

High dynamic range

SIRIUS® X modules use 24-bit delta-sigma amplifiers to deliver exceptional dynamic range, outstanding signal quality, and high measurement accuracy. With sampling rates up to 500 kS/s, they are ideal for precise acquisition of low-level and high-dynamic signals in the same setup.

High-speed CAN and CAN FD

SIRIUS® XR systems support high-speed CAN and CAN FD data acquisition. XR9 systems can be configured with up to 9 CAN ports, while XR5 with up to 5 CAN ports. With advanced CAN bus decoding features of included DewesoftX software, your CAN bus data will be there when you need it.

High-speed connectivity

SIRIUS® XR enables fast, reliable, and flexible integration into modern test environments. Dual 10 GbE interfaces with SFP connectivity, copper or fiber, and CAN-FD support directly on measurement slices simplify system connectivity at every level. Advanced synchronization options, including PTPv2, IRIG, GPS, and PPS, with future-ready White Rabbit support, provide sub-nanosecond timing accuracy, while high-speed internal PCIe supports real-time processing and high-throughput data logging.

Flexible configuration

SIRIUS® XR systems offer flexible, scalable architecture built to adapt to a wide range of measurement setups. Each system includes a standard gateway slice, with an optional built-in SBOX computer for advanced onboard processing and high-speed data logging. An integrated network switch enables simple daisy-chaining with PTPv2 synchronization and up to 10 Gbps data throughput.

Integrated GNSS with RTK

For precise positioning in navigational and mobile test applications, SIRIUS® XR can be equipped with an optional 10 Hz or 100 Hz GNSS receiver. With optional RTK support, the SIRIUS® XR data acquisition systems achieve positioning accuracy down to 1 cm.

openDAQ compliant

SIRIUS® XR devices are fully compliant with the open-source openDAQ SDK platform. This enables easy integration into custom software environments and automated test systems. Gateway for seamless power, connectivity, and synchronization

Every SIRIUS® XR system includes a dedicated GATEWAY slice that provides power management, system connectivity, and precise synchronization, even without an external processing unit. Designed for maximum flexibility, it supports a wide 12 to 48 VDC power range, making it suitable for laboratory setups, test benches, mobile testing, and in-vehicle applications.

Advanced synchronization options, including PTPv2, IRIG, GPS, and PPS, with future-ready White Rabbit support, ensure highly accurate system timing down to the sub-nanosecond level. Dual 10 GbE uplinks via flexible SFP interfaces, copper or fiber, enable fast, reliable data transfer and easy integration into modern test networks.

For navigation and mobility applications, the GATEWAY can also be equipped with an optional high-performance GNSS receiver for precise positioning. With up to 100 Hz update rate and optional RTK support, it delivers the accuracy required for demanding dynamic test environments.

For seamless real-time data exchange with third-party EtherCAT masters (such as LabView, Beckoff, MTS, Acontis, etc.), the gateway is also equipped with EtherCAT interface (100 Mbps). EtherCAT support will be available with future firmware upgrade.

SBOX computer: optional high-performance processing and data logging

SIRIUS® XR can be equipped with an integrated SBOX industrial computer, providing the processing power needed for advanced measurement, real-time signal processing, and high-speed data logging.

Built around an 11th Gen Intel Xeon CPU with 6 cores and 12 threads, it delivers the performance required for demanding test applications while keeping the entire DAQ system compact and fully integrated.

With 64 GB of memory, upgradeable to 128 GB, the system handles data-intensive applications with ease. High-speed internal and removable SSD drives provide reliable storage for continuous recording and high-throughput data capture, making the SBOX option ideal for standalone operation, onboard processing, and long-duration tests.

Designed for seamless integration into modern test environments, the SBOX also offers a full range of connectivity options:

External calibration reference

For fast and convenient system verification, SIRIUS® XR systems include an external calibration reference input. Connected via a 2-pin LEMO 00 B Series connector on the getaway slice, the reference signal can be routed in software to all input channels at once to verify amplifier performance and measurement accuracy.

Extreme synchronization with state-of-the-art timing technology

SIRIUS® XR delivers exceptional synchronization performance using advanced timing and synchronization technology. Built around high-precision PTPv2 synchronization, it ensures accurate time alignment across all channels and devices, even when combining sigma-delta and SAR ADC inputs. Intelligent delay compensation and optimized filtering design maintain precise timing and signal integrity across the entire system.

Multiple SIRIUS® XR systems can be synchronized seamlessly using PTPv2, IRIG, NTP, or PPS, enabling accurate absolute time synchronization through internal time servers or GPS references.
