Standby power testing
One important pillar for reducing global energy consumption is increasing energy efficiency. The reduction of the standby power consumption of electronic devices is a big step towards more energy efficiency and is defined in the international standard IEC 62301.
There are several requirements for the measurement of standby power. Measurement devices have to be able to measure very low currents (< 1mA) and very low power with specified accuracy (< 0.5W with the accuracy of 0.01 W > 0.5 W with the accuracy of 2%).
Harmonic analysis up to the 49th order (2.5 kHz) is required and data logging capability is strongly recommended. For the testing process, it is also necessary to measure the voltage of the power supply, the THD, the temperature, etc. which all have to be within specified limits.
Dewesoft power analyzer meets these criteria and can measure and analyze all the parameters automatically.
