SIRIUS® 2xPCM: PCM telemetry frame sync device

The SIRIUS® 2xPCM device from Dewesoft is a dual frame sync IRIG Class II decommutator with up to 40 MBit/second data rates. It is a small, single-source hardware package that combines PCM frame sync/decomm with PCM encoder capabilities in a small, lightweight, powerful package changing the game in PCM hardware and capabilities.

DewesoftX can fully decode, visualize, and analyze IRIG 106 Chapter 10 data and utilizes standard input format for telemetry data interface ethernet packets real-time consisting of:

The ability to record data in throughput-packed and unpacked modes gives the user the flexibility needed and provides an all-in-one processing and recording package for the ground station. The software can also replay Chapter 10 files. Data is frame synchronized and decommuted. This gives you the ability to playback and process any Chapter 10 file without tying up an entire ground station.

SIRIUS® 2xPCM: frame sync and PCM encoder

Frame sync

The PCM-FS2 is a frame sync device designed to handle two 40 Mbps clock and data streams, providing a platform-independent solution. It can receive two independent data streams into a single system, and multiple units can be daisy-chained to support higher channel counts.

Its compact size makes it easy to carry in a backpack along with a laptop, making it ideal for flight line checkouts. When paired with a portable computer or the SIRIUS DAQ system and SBOX, the PCM-FS2 enables real-time telemetry data processing directly in the aircraft. It can even provide the pilot with a live visual display of telemetry data.

This portable, flexible solution empowers engineers to efficiently meet mission requirements in any environment.

PCM encoder
