Vid Selič

Vid Selič, born in 1993 in Ljubljana, is a self-described "doer" and generalist with a background in various fields ranging from entrepreneurship, engineering, telecommunication, sales, marketing, copywriting, and investment management, has always been drawn to solving problems and making connections. After graduating high school cum laude, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Ljubljana, where he developed a passion for the internal combustion engine and aerospace technologies and embarked on a steep learning curve by restoring an old SAAB car. This experience taught him the value of "learning by doing" and the importance of bridging the gap between theory and practice.

In 2016, Vid co-founded Spacelink startup company, Slovenia's first space program and institute for the development of rocket propulsion technologies. Through Spacelink's involvement with Katapult, he became interested in the data acquisition field and eventually joined Dewesoft in 2017, where he began his career as an NVH engineer. Combining business with engineering, he currently holds the position of Head of the Application Center -  a group of Product Managers and Application Engineers responsible for multiple product lines. With a knack for problem-solving, out-of-the-box thinking and a passion for hands-on learning, Vid is always on the lookout for new challenges and opportunities to make a difference.
