New DSI Adapters for Thermocouple Type E and Current Measurement
We are announcing the release of the new DSI adapters:
DSI-TH-E: Thermocouple type E adapter for temperature measurement
DSI-5A: Revised current measurement adapter up to 5A
The versatile Dewesoft DSI® adapters convert any Dewesoft's DAQ system analog input amplifiers with DSUB9 connector into a universal analog input that can accept everything from strain gage, IEPE/ICP, thermocouple, LVDT, RTD, current to voltage signals with up to ±200V.
DSI adapters are automatically recognized by the TEDS sensor chip (IEEE 1451.4) and all settings are configured automatically inside Dewesoft X DAQ software.
DSI-TH-E - thermocouple type E adapter for temperature measurement
DSI-TH-E is the latest edition to the DSI® thermocouple adapters product range. DSI-TH-E is designed for type E thermocouple.
Type E thermocouple has the highest sensitivity in terms of mV/K. It is operating in a temperature range between -270 °C and 1000 °C.

DSI-5A - current measurement adapter
Same on the outside, new on the inside. DSI-5A v2 is the new version of DSI® adapters allowing current measurements up to 5 A.
The motivation for the new version was the discontinuation of the shunt resistor.
DSI-5A v2 still contains a 10 mΩ shunt resistor with 0.1% accuracy when calibrated. Significant improvement is in temperature stability. The new shunt resistor has two-times better temperature coefficient (now 15 ppm/K over the range -55 °C to +125 °C, before 30 ppm/K over the range -20 °C to +60 °C).
Input connector of the DSI-5A adapter is the same 3-pin screw terminal where you can connect wires with the nominal cross-section up to 2.5 mm².
