The IOLITEir-8xTH-HS is a new version of the 8-channel IOLITE thermocouple temperature module. It is a channel-to-channel isolated DAQ device for thermocouple temperature measurements using universal thermocouple inputs: K, J, T, R, S, N, E, C, B.

The main purpose of this device is to address the growing need for stable temperature measurements in an EMC harsh environment, e.g. on the stator of an electric motor or near inverters. The new module not only improves the EMC immunity of the previous unit on the digital side but also utilizes a sharp analog antialiasing filter (3rd order, -3dB @ 1kHz) and digital FIR filters to remove unwanted frequencies.

The input connector of the module is MINI TC for the universal thermocouple type. It offers sensor break detection in the software and applies physical LED indicators.

The module uses a new 24-bit ADC with sampling rates up to 10 kS/s per channel. This enables IOLITEir-8xTH-HS to be used in the dynamically most demanding applications to record transients of temperature shock.

A higher sampling rate enables Dewesoft filtering technology using digital FIR filters to reduce noise floor down to -130 dB and reach a resolution of less than 1 μK.

The IOLITE TH-HS module will be sold in parallel with the current IOLITE TH modules until the existing IOLITE TH modules run out of stock.

The TH-HS module will be sold at the same price as IOLITE TH for the sampling at 100 S/s and as an option for10 kS/s sampling speed. 

As all IOLITE standard modules, also IOLITEir-8xTH-HS is equipped with two EtherCAT buses in parallel for both DAQ and real-time control. It can be mounted either in rack chassis (IOLITE-R12, IOLITE-R8, IOLITE-R8r, or IOLITE-LX-R8 chassis).
