Map widget server migration
September 25, 2025
We have recently migrated the Street and Satellite map server used in the Map widget in DewesoftX. Until now, these maps were self-hosted and accessed via an IP address. From now on, they will be available through our new hosting domain.
Starting Friday, September 26, 2025, the old servers will be turned off.

What this means for you
If you continue using an older Map widget after Friday, September 26, 2025, you may experience issues with Street and Satellite map tiles not displaying.
Already visited locations and zoom levels may still work because they are saved on your computer.
However, when changing the view to a new location or zoom level, tiles may no longer load.
To avoid this, please update to the latest Map widget plugin (v1.14.14).
How to update
1. Download the correct version for your system:
2. Unzip the downloaded package.
3. Replace the contents inside your DewesoftX installation folder:
For 64-bit: Bin64/Addons64/Map
For 32-bit: Bin/Addons/Map
What happens after updating
All existing setups and data files that used our old Dewesoft server will be automatically migrated to the new domain.
If you were using any other custom servers, they will not be affected.
You will not notice any visible changes in your projects.
If you experience issues (e.g., tile layers not displaying), please contact Dewesoft Customer Support.
