ETAS INCA software natively integrates high-performance SIRIUS XHS-PWR via openDAQ
October 15, 2025
xEV teams struggle to correlate high-voltage power data with ECU parameters, diagnostics, and vehicle bus signals inside one workflow, which slows calibration and obscures cause-and-effect in software tuning. INCA now natively ingests Dewesoft SIRIUS XHS-PWR measurements via openDAQ, delivering synchronized, high-throughput power data alongside ECU calibration and diagnostics. Teams gain faster parameter iteration, consistent MDA analysis across vehicles, benches, and simulations, and compatibility with ASAM-aligned processes.

Challenge
Enhanced functional software optimization of xEV integrating Dewesoft DAQ into ETAS MCD tool INCA.
Details
ETAS INCA is a comprehensive software suite designed for MCD - measurement, calibration, and diagnostics around embedded software optimization running on electronic control units (ECUs). It supports engineers throughout the entire functional development and testing process, facilitating efficient management and optimization of ECU parameters across various environments, including vehicles, test benches, and simulations.
Main Applications:
Measurement and ECU Calibration: INCA enables precise adjustment of function parameters, maps, and tables both offline and during ECU runtime. It manages the ECU’s memory effectively and resolves parameter dependencies, providing powerful editors that display scalars, curves, and maps in both physical and hexadecimal formats.
Diagnostics: With the ODX-LINK integration, INCA adds comprehensive ECU diagnostics capabilities. It allows simultaneous acquisition of calibration and diagnostic signals, supports OBD emission regulation services, and facilitates full diagnostics of ECUs compliant with the ODX standard.
Measurement Data Analysis (MDA): INCA’s MDA tool assists in visualizing, post-processing, analyzing, and documenting measurement data. It evaluates the correlation between diagnostic data and signals from ECUs, sensors, and vehicle buses, ensuring consistent data display through predefined configurations.
Simulation and Prototyping: INCA integrates with PC-based simulation environments and prototyping systems, allowing developers to simulate and validate new software functions before deployment. It supports connections to generic simulation environments using the XCP protocol over TCP/IP and integrates with tools like Simulink® and ASCET.
Benefits:
Efficient Parameter Calibration: INCA provides customized tools that streamline ECU calibration and validation processes, enhancing productivity.
Optimized Workflow: The software supports offline preparation, improving workflow organization and efficiency.
Broad Compatibility: INCA is compatible with ECUs from all manufacturers, offering versatile applications across different projects.
Comprehensive Data Management: It offers sophisticated functions for listing, comparing, and merging datasets, along with tools for measurement data analysis and ECU flash programming.
Open Interfaces: INCA provides a wide range of open and standardized interfaces for configuration, data exchange, documentation, automation, and integration with other tools and environments. Also openDAQ is now supported.
