A student project measured structural vibrations in a family home near a quarry using a Dewesoft IOLITEi-3xMEMS-ACC system. Over three weeks, data revealed short, intense spikes from quarry blasts, exceeding international safety limits for human exposure by more than 30 times. While traffic-induced vibrations were minimal, repeated exposure to blasts may pose a risk of structural damage and discomfort for residents, underscoring the need for ongoing vibration monitoring.
