IOLITEi-3xMEMS-ACC-T and IOLITEi-2xMEMS-INC

3xMEMS-ACC now available with an external temperature sensor

A new variant of the IOLITEi-3xMEMS-ACC product line has been released and features an additional M8 connector at the front to which a temperature sensor can be connected. This allows a simple and inexpensive addition of a temperature measurement point in monitoring applications on bridges, wind turbines and other structures. The variant is denoted by the “-T” in the name of the product. Both IOLITEi (IP20) and IOLITEiw (IP67) variants are available with this option.

Only the dedicated temperature sensor is compatible and must be ordered separately. It is a digitized temperature sensor with an accuracy of +-0.5 degC, a measurement range of -55 to 125 degC and IP66 protection. The 1-wire protocol is used for communication between the sensor and the 3xMEMS-ACC device. The name of the sensor product is DS-TEMP-1WIRE-M8-Xm, where “X” defines the cable length and three lengths are available: 2 m, 5 m, 10 m. Maximum cable length is 10 m.

DS-TEMP-1WIRE-M8 temperature sensor specification:

  • Measurement range: -55 degC … 125 degC

  • Accuracy: +-0.5 deg C (in the range of -10 degC to 85 degC)

  • Resolution: 0.063 deg C

  • IP rating: IP66

  • IOLITEi-3xMEMS-ACC-T is supported from DewesoftX 2023.4 onwards.

Monitoring static inclination (tilt) is now possible with IOLITEi-2xMEMS-INC

IOLITE-2xMEMS-INC, a static two-axial inclinometer (tiltmeter), is now officially released. It can be used for static inclination monitoring of structures like for example bridges, viaducts, high-rise buildings, wind turbines etc. It measures roll and pitch angles (about its X and Y axes) with the Z axis positioned vertically.

Inclinometer specifications:

  • Measurement range: +-15 deg

  • Resolution: 0.001 deg

  • Relative accuracy: 0.01 deg

  • Sample rate: 1 Hz

  • Bandwidth: <0.1 Hz

  • Offset temperature drift: 0.0001 deg/degC (typ.), 0.0005 deg/degC (max.)

  • Temperature range: -20 degC … 60 degC
