New KRYPTON TH-HS Module - Universal High-Speed Thermocouple Input
The KRYPTON product line now offers a brand new amplifier for thermocouple sensor inputs. The new devices with TH-HS amplifier offer high-speed acquisition rates and channel-to-channel isolation for temperature measurements with thermocouple sensors. The amplifier offers universal thermocouple input for all thermocouple types: K, J, T, R, S, N, E, C, B
This new amplifier addresses the growing need for stable temperature measurements in an EMC harsh environment, e.g. on the stator of an electric motor or near inverters. The new amplifier does not only improve upon the EMC immunity of the previous unit on the digital side but also utilizes a sharp analog antialiasing filter (3rd order, -3dB @ 1kHz) and digital FIR filters to remove unwanted frequencies.
The input connector is MINI TC. It offers sensor break detection in the software and applies physical LED indicators.
A new 24-bit ADC is used with sampling rates up to 10 kS/s per channel. This enables it to be used in the dynamically most demanding applications to record transients of temperature shocks. A higher sampling rate also enables Dewesoft filtering technology using digital FIR filters to reduce the noise floor down to -130 dB and reach a resolution below 1 μK.
KRYPTON TH-HS devices will be sold in parallel with the current KRYPTON TH devices, which will be phased out when the stock will run out. The 10 kHz acquisition speed will be sold as and upgrade option.
The new KRYPTON TH-HS devices come in two configurations:
KRYPTONi-8xTH-HS: 8-channel thermocouple input module.
KRYPTONi-16xTH-HS: 16-channel thermocouple input module.
Both devices offer rugged, waterproof IP67 chassis and are ready to be used in demanding temperature and shock/vibration conditions.
