Powerful capabilities

Key specifications include:

  • Input modes: Voltage, Full/Half/Quarter Bridge (3-wire, 4-wire, Constant Current), IEPE, Potentiometer, RTD, Resistance, and 20 mA Current

  • Input ranges: ±100 V, ±10 V, ±1 V, ±100 mV

  • Input coupling: DC, AC 0.15 Hz (1 Hz, 3 Hz, 10 Hz per SW)

  • Excitation voltage:

    • Unipolar: 24 V DC

    • Bipolar: ±12 V DC

    • Fully programmable via 16-bit DAC

  • Excitation current:

    • 0.1, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 100 mA

    • Fully programmable via 16-bit DAC

  • IEPE current excitation: 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 mA

  • Direct current: Direct 20 mA input with integrated 50 Ω shunt

  • Bridge measurements: 120 Ω and 350 Ω bridge completion resistors and 100 kΩ shunt resistor

    • Channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground isolation for maximum protection and measurement integrity.

UNI for IOLITE® and OBSIDIAN® data acquisition systems

For distributed and modular measurement systems, UNI brings its flexibility to the IOLITE and OBSIDIAN product families. Engineers can use it as an interchangeable DAQ card in IOLITE and OBSIDIAN rack-based data acquisition systems, or as a stand-alone IOLITE DAQ module for cabinet installations and benchtop applications.

UNI for IOLITE® X SIRIUS® X data acquisition systems

In Dewesoft’s X-line products, the new UNI amplifiers reach their full potential, delivering industry-leading performance with sampling rates up to 500 kS/s. X-line devices are built for easy connectivity, featuring a GLAN interface with PTP time synchronization and active Power over Ethernet.

Within the IOLITE® X and SIRIUS® X product families, UNI amplifiers are fully compliant with the openDAQ SDK and ready for integration into virtually any environment through the open-source SDK. 

Beyond data acquisition, they support online processing, data logging, and advanced integration workflows.

Fully isolated UNI amplifiers bring maximum performance to the IOLITE® X platform, with sampling rates up to 500 kS/s for demanding measurement applications.

The IOLITEi-X-4xUNI is a compact, 4-channel universal amplifier with D-SUB9 input connectors, combining high-speed data acquisition with the advanced connectivity of the IOLITE X series. It supports Gigabit Ethernet communication with precise PTPv2 synchronization and Power over Ethernet operation using a 48 to 57 VDC power supply.

Designed for flexible, distributed installations, the IOLITEi-X-4xUNI can be DIN rail mounted and daisy-chained for power, data, and synchronization using a single standard network cable. This makes it an ideal solution for scalable, high-performance measurement systems where simplicity, speed, and reliability are essential.

SIRIUSi-X-8xUNI

The SIRIUSi-X-8xUNI combines the versatility of the UNI® universal amplifier with the performance and reliability of the SIRIUS® X platform. With eight fully isolated input channels and standard D-SUB9 connectors, it is designed to handle a wide range of measurement challenges with a single instrument. Alternative connector options are available on request.

In addition to high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, PTPv2 synchronization, and optional Power over Ethernet, the unit includes two integrated CAN FD ports on the rear panel. This makes it an excellent choice for automotive testing, control applications, and modern vehicle network analysis.

With its high channel density, the IOLITE X-8xUNI-D37 is especially well suited for automotive, aerospace, and industrial testing applications where multiple sensor types need to be acquired simultaneously.

The SIRIUS® X-16xUNI delivers exceptional measurement density without sacrificing flexibility. With 16 universal input channels and D-SUB9 connectors, it enables engineers to connect and acquire data from a wide range of sensor types using a single, versatile instrument.
