Young Engineer (m/f) - Engineering Talent Program

About the Program

The Dewesoft Engineering Talent Program is intended for final-year engineering students and recent graduates who want to build a broad technical foundation before choosing their long-term career path.

The program takes place at Dewesoft Headquarters in Trbovlje and combines structured onboarding, technical training, practical engineering work, and exposure to customer-facing activities. During the six-month program, participants work with experienced engineers across multiple departments, learn our products and technologies, and contribute to real projects.

At the end of the program, participants will be evaluated and successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to be employed in a suitable position based on their interests and the company's needs.

Planned program Structure

Month 1 – Onboarding

Become familiar with Dewesoft products, measurement technologies, development processes, engineering tools, and company operations.

Months 2 to 4 – Technical Rotation

Work with different engineering teams and participate in product development, testing, application engineering, technical support, and other technical activities depending on the rotation plan.

Months 5 and 6 – Customer Solutions Rotation

Gain experience working with customer applications, demonstrations, training, solution development, and technical sales activities to understand how our products are used in practice.

The program includes formal progress reviews after onboarding, after the technical rotation, and a final assessment before placement into a permanent role.

Expectations

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Automation, Robotics, or a related engineering field

  • Final-year student or graduate with up to two years of professional experience

  • Good understanding of engineering fundamentals

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good written and spoken English

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and work across different engineering disciplines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with programming such as Python, C/C++, MATLAB, or similar

  • Experience with electronics, embedded systems, instrumentation, or test and measurement

  • Participation in engineering projects, internships, Formula Student, robotics competitions, or similar activities

The hiring format will depend on the candidate's availability and student status. Either a student contract or a full-time position (the duration of ETP - 6 months).
