Eva Kalšek föddes 1991 i Ljubljana, där hon gick i den lokala gymnasieskolan och tog examen 2009, innan hon började på Ljubljanas universitet, fakulteten för matematik och fysik, där hon tog examen 2013. Eva tog en masterexamen i medicinsk fysik med inriktning på forskning om sensorer för PET-skannrar.
Efter sin examen började hon sin karriär vid TRIGA-kärnreaktorn i Slovenien. Därefter började hon på Dewesoft som supporttekniker, där hon lärde sig mycket om mätvärlden. I dag arbetar hon som produktchef för DewesoftX mjukvaru- och inspelningslösningar.
