Discover the New IOLITEi 4xCAN-FD

The IOLITEi 4xCAN-FD is Dewesoft’s answer to the automotive market’s increasing demands for higher bandwidth and performance. As Dewesoft’s first multi-channel CAN FD device, it is designed to accommodate modern vehicles that utilize multiple buses.

Key features of the IOLITEi 4xCAN-FD include:

• Data Rates: Supports data rates up to 5 Mbit/s with a single bus, and up to 2 Mbit/s when all four bus channels are used simultaneously.

• Compatibility: The CAN FD interfaces support transmission capabilities and are backward compatible with CAN 2.0. They also support SAE J1939, OBDII, and XCP/CCP protocols.

• Isolation and Power Supply: The module features galvanically isolated communication lines and an isolated sensor supply of +5 V and +12 V, accessible via DSUB9 input connectors. The power limit for the sensor supply is 1.25 W.

The new 4-channel CAN-FD module is available in three configurations:

• IOLITEi-4xCAN-FD: A stand-alone modular device in a IOLITE® modular aluminum enclosure for distributed applications and installations.

• IOLITEir-4xCAN-FD: As a slide-in card for inserting into any of the IOLITE® rack main frames such as IOLITE® R8, R8r, or R12.

• IOLITEirw-4xCAN-FD: Watertight version of the slide-in cards for our IP67-rated OBSIDIAN® data loggers for data recording applications in harsh environments.

Like all standard IOLITE modules, the IOLITEir-4xCAN-FD is equipped with two EtherCAT buses. This makes it suitable for collecting data via DewesoftX while simultaneously providing it to a real-time control system.
