Announcing the SIRIUSi-XHS-8xUNI

We proudly announce our new high-end universal DAQ module, the SIRIUSi-XHS-8xUNI. This versatile module is available for high-dynamic, low-voltage, strain, resistance, and IEPE measurements. 

The fully isolated universal high-speed module offers seven measurement modes, with input Voltage ranges from 50 mV to 100 V, various bridge configurations, IEPE mode with excitation up to 20 mA, Equipped with a voltage (up to 24 V), and current (up to 100 mA) sensor power supply, along with DSI adapter compatibility and TEDS support, it is suitable for almost any application. Its high sampling rate (up to 15 MS/s) and high bandwidth (up to 5 MHz) enable the most dynamically demanding measurement tasks. Check the specification sheet for more information!

Furthermore, you can upgrade the module with the 8xCNT interface - SIRIUS® XHS SUPERCOUNTER® inputs that support event counting, waveform timing, encoder, tacho, and gear tooth modes. 

Modern interfaces and protocols, such as USB 3.0 and GLAN, and synchronization options (IRIG-B-DC and PTPv2 synchronization), provide open and flexible connectivity with other modules within or outside the XHS product line.

Why choose SIRIUSi-XHS-UNI?  

We are already introducing SIRIUSi-XHS-UNI into various application areas, including jet engine testing and vehicle testing. Multiple high-dynamic signals need to be acquired with high precision at the same time for such tests to ensure that the test subject's operating parameters are tracked and compared against regulatory compliance and industry standards. 

The SIRIUS-XHS is the first device to feature Hybrid ADC technology, capable of performing high bandwidth transient recording and very high dynamic, alias-free acquisition (up to 2 MS/s), software-selectable per channel. With seven different measurement modes and impeccable analog input performance, this device is the leader of breakthrough innovations and a necessity in the fields above.

  • Vibration analysis during static tests and stationary operating tests of jet engines. During steady and transient operations, the jet engine must be free from destructive vibrations at all engine speeds, thrusts, power levels, or torque. Noise pollution and engine noise levels under various operating conditions also need to be analyzed. These tests help identify noise and vibration sources, evaluate noise reduction technologies, and ensure compliance with noise regulations. The high bandwidth offered by the SIRIUS-XHS allows you to analyze these responses and transients very accurately. You can explore the relation between speed and vibration with the Counter option and RPM measurements.

  • Durability testing of components of aircraft and other vehicles. Strain and stress measurements to test structural integrity and engine components, such as compressor blades, turbine blades, bearing elements, and gearbox. This testing includes assessment of performance, durability, and reliability at the component level. It supports static and dynamic bridge measurements, including full/ half/quarter bridge (3-wire or 4-wire) and constant current quarter bridge (2-wire or 4-wire).

  • Transient recording and shock analysis. Advanced triggering capabilities and a high analog bandwidth ensure the ability to record transients. The typical application for such requirements is shock analysis, where measured signals are short-duration and high in amplitude and frequency. The shock response spectrum (SRS) is often the base for analyzing Mechanical shock pulses. The dynamic characteristics of SIRIUS-XHS Hybrid ADC technology enable high sampling rate, high bandwidth, high slew rate, high dynamic range, and anti-aliasing protection, all in one unit.
