Owen Maginity attended Kettering University in Flint, Michigan where they received a BS in Mechanical Engineering. During their education at Kettering University, Owen held a co-op position at Pratt & Whitney Autoair, Inc. in Lansing, Michigan. They worked as a manufacturing engineer responsible for implementing increasingly automated manufacturing processes and machine condition monitoring. They would later transition to a co-op with Pratt Miller Engineering in New Hudson, Michigan as a test engineer working on various projects. These projects ranged from e-mobility prototype validation to motorsport component and defence project instrumentation and testing. While in this position, they developed a replacement control system for a test bench within the facility using Dewesoft hardware and software as their undergraduate thesis project. Owen joined Dewesoft as an Application Engineer in 2022.
