Researchers at Tallinn University of Technology developed a Dewesoft-powered test bench to evaluate BLDC motors used in electric scooters. By combining torque sensors, a powder brake, and real-time data acquisition, they mapped torque-speed behavior, stall torque, and power output. The system provided synchronized electrical and mechanical insights, helping engineers optimize motor efficiency, design, and control strategies.

The BUT GMP program at IUT Le Creusot trains future mechanical technicians through hands-on exercises that connect theory with real testing. Using Dewesoft systems, students measure vibrations, strain, and displacement to study material behavior and validate structural models. This practical approach builds strong skills in design, analysis, and engineering decision-making.

The NAOS EVO motor’s first static firing validated a new sorbitol propellant and the Dewesoft SIRIUSi system for high-precision pressure acquisition. Results aligned closely with simulations, revealing stable performance and minor manufacturing issues such as grain cracking. The test confirmed motor reliability and set the direction for improved grain production and future optimization.
