Determining Stall Torque of BLDC Motor
Researchers at Tallinn University of Technology developed a Dewesoft-powered test bench to evaluate BLDC motors used in electric scooters. By combining torque sensors, a powder brake, and real-time data acquisition, they mapped torque-speed behavior, stall torque, and power output. The system provided synchronized electrical and mechanical insights, helping engineers optimize motor efficiency, design, and control strategies.
