Dewesoft is introducing two new EtherCAT accessories for EtherCAT-based data acquisition systems:

  • ECAT-REPEATER: EtherCAT Repeater
  • DS-HUBe7: EtherCAT hub

ECAT-REPEATER: EtherCAT Repeater

The EtherCAT Repeater is a part of EtherCAT accessories used for the extension of EtherCAT hybrid cables allowing maximum connection of two 50 meters long cables. It increases connection stability for distributed EtherCAT systems with distances between measurement units larger than 50 meters.

Dewesoft ECAT-REPATER - EtherCAT repeater

EtherCAT Repeater is a rugged inline device with an IP67 rating and corresponds to MIL-STD-810D standard. Lemo 1T Series 8-pin male connector on IN port and a female connector on OUT port. Pinout corresponds to the standard KRYPTON devices.  

An example of EtherCAT Repeater usage can be the railway application, where measuring devices are distributed throughout the chain of railroad cars.

DS-HUBe7: EtherCAT Hub

DS-HUBe7 is an EtherCAT hub for up to 7 EtherCAT DAQ devices. The hub uses Beckhoff CU1128 EtherCAT junction

Dewesoft DS-HUB-e7 EtherCAT hub

DS-HUBe7 features the same chassis form factor as the SIRIUS modular line of DAQ systems.

The front panel includes eight standard 8-pin LEMO connectors, familiar from the SIRIUS EtherCat and KRYPTON line of instruments. The first connector is used for EtherCAT input (IN) and the other 7 connectors for the EtherCAT output (OUT).

The back panel includes two standard 2-pin LEMO connectors for the power supply - PWR-IN and PWR-OUT. PWR IN and PWR OUT are internally shortened. Input voltage for POWER SUPPLY is 9-36 V DC.

DS-HUBe7 is a useful accessory for large systems with parallel EtherCAT chains.
